Year of the Skulls

The apocalyptic event all Deceivers pray for, when the demon goddess Kina returns to the world and causes a mysterious universal rebirth, but only after a period of cosmic destruction. According to Deceiver doctrine, this is actually a cleansing period intended to allow the world to enter paradise. The Daughter of Night's role is to bring about the Year of the Skulls by copying out three enormous magical books which must then be read during a special ceremony.

When Kina and both copies of the Books of the Dead (the complete originals and the Daughter of Night's unfinished version) were destroyed, Booboo stated in despair that any hope to bring about the Year of the Skulls had been completely lost, including whatever renewal of the world it entailed.
