Vehdna

One of the three dominant cultures/religions in Taglios, along with the Gunni and Shadar. The Vehdna are the least numerous of the major Taglian ethnic groups. They are as light as the Shadar but smaller, more lightly built, with ferocious features. They like a little color in their costume, though not bright like the Gunni. They wear pantaloons and real shoes. Even the poorest conceal their bodies and wear something atop their heads. Married women dress in black, with only their eyes showing; unmarried women never appear in public.

The Vedhna faith is the only one of the three which posits an afterlife, a paradise accessible only to men (with a very few exceptions). It is also monotheistic at times; it is perhaps modeled loosely on Islam. Sleepy is Vedhna and prays regularly.
