A Nyueng Bao boy, son of Sahra; he is a toddler when Murgen meets him. To Tan is a staunch little fellow and much loved by his family. He is killed by Deceivers in Taglios, causing the Nyueng Bao to throw in their lots with the Black Company in pursuit of vengeance.
