TelleKurre

TelleKurre, sometimes called KurreTelle, was the principal language of the Domination four hundred years ago; it has virtually vanished by the time the Black Company series begins. Only the Lady and the Ten Who Were Taken understand it. There is a regional vulgate variant called UchiTelle.

The TelleKurre were also a culture, presumably the Dominator's own people. After his original defeat, the White Rose obliterated the entire culture, razing cities, relocating populations, and so forth.

The documents found in Whisper's camp are in TelleKurre, and the Company keeps the cache for years, certain that they contain important information, though only Raven can read them well. Croaker learns how to read TelleKurre eventually.
