The Stair of Tear is a rugged, wild mountain range virtually impassable except for one steep pass. The land rises gradually till it reaches sudden, towering red sandstone bluffs and mesas which stretch either way for hundreds of miles. Once through the pass, it is about a hundred miles to Charm.
