Sindawe

Sindawe is a lieutenant in the Nar contingent who joins the Black Company in Gea-Xle. Like all the Nar, he is a tall, strong black man with excellent combat skills. He is also always portrayed as a decent man with a sense of humor, very unusual amongst the Nar. He is second only to Mogaba among the Nar; he is also Mogaba's best friend and possibly his brother. After the siege at Dejagore, when Mogaba and the old Company members clash, Sindawe chooses to rejoin Croaker. He remains one of the Company's best officers. He accompanies the Company leadership on the first trip to the Fortress of the Glittering Plain. He escapes the trap in the Fortress, but dies trying to make his way off the Plain, killed by Shadows, less than a day from the Shadowgate. Sleepy says of him, "No better or stronger man ever lived."

Sindawe is a very skilled jeweler, crafting his own Black Company badge in silver; it is an "exquisite piece from talented hands".
