Shapeshifters
From Glen Cook Wiki
Beings with no definite form, shapeshifters are able to assume the shape of any humanoid of approximately the same mass. Needless to say, they study their targets ahead of time so that they will be able to imitate their habits and manner of speech.
Little definite is known about them; it is said that when it achieves a certain mass, a shapeshifter will reproduce by cellular fission, splitting into two unequal masses.
