Orthodoxy
From Glen Cook Wiki
One of the many religions in the world, Orthodoxy is a branch that believe that only humans can have souls. All other sentient races do not possess souls and are therefore never able to achieve grace in the eyes of God.
Orthodoxy has rites that include confession, excommunication, and marriage. They hold services most days. Orthodox churches are usually finely decorated, with gold and silver relics and services. The head of any particular Orthodox parish is titled "Sair", while priests are called "Father".
There are no Orthodox among the Venageti.
