Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler is one of the Ten Who Were Taken. It is possible that Nightcrawler is the third female Taken, but he is never encountered directly so nothing is known about him. He reportedly perishes at the Battle of Charm, one of the few members of the Taken to actually be killed by enemy action.

There is an elite imperial military unit called the Nightcrawlers, which has the distinction of being the only imperial force to defeat the Black Company in battle. It seems possible that this unit was associated in some way with Nightcrawler, particularly since Nightcrawler is described as a very competent military leader.
