MorCartha

The morCartha are a semi-intelligent race that mainly live in the rainforests up near thunderlizard country. They are short, averaging waist-high. The bear a striking resemblance to cartoon devils, except they are more brown than red, and have no arms - substituting wings, instead.

morCartha tribes spend most nights fighting each other in arial combat. When not killing each other, they like to steal objects easily reached. They also have demonstrated skill, if not tenacity, at following unsuspecting investigators undetected.

In later books, the morCartha have been conscripted by the Army to provide arial reconnaisance in the Cantard. This turned the tide against Glory Mooncalled and resulted in the Karentine Victory.
