Garrett's House

After successfully bringing Kayean Kronk to TunFaire to receive the fortune willed to her by Denny Tate, Garrett purchased the "haunted" house inhabited by the Dead Man; Garrett had been paying the rent for it for some time in return for the Dead Man's services. At that time, the place was a run-down three story red brick house, on Macunado Street (the Way of the Harlequin) half a mile east of Wizard's Reach.

Since he purchased it, Garrett's had some renovations done. The outside has been left looking rundown (in order not to tempt the criminal element), but the interior has been touched up considerably. In addition, he has replaced or reinforced the front door numerous times, since it's often the point of attack when his enemies try to break in; most recently, he's had the expert carpenter (fixme) put in a heavily-reinforced door which seems to be just shy of a fortress gate.

The first floor has a hall running from the front door back to the kitchen, which spans the length of the back side of the house. To the right as you enter the building is a large room that houses the Dead Man, as well as the library, treasury, and souvenir shelf. To the left, there is a small front room with a daybed (which becomes the temporary abode of Mr. Big). Behind this is Garrett's office, hardly more than a large coat closet. This room contains his desk and chair, and a stiff, uncomfortable chair for the client. A portrait of Eleanor Stantnor hangs on the wall behind his desk, sometimes setting clients on edge.

The second floor has four bedrooms, as well as the closet which serves as the household armoury. The front bedroom is Garrett's, the back Dean's, and the other two are for guests.

There is also a third floor with at least one bedroom.
