A homeless man who Marron Shed allows to sleep in the Iron Lily in exchange for firewood. Asa is a small, whining, dishonest man, dedicated to avoiding honest work. Shed doesn't like him much. He is a man with no spine who switches sides several times in the course of the events in and around Juniper. He finally runs off after the "death" of the Limper, but only because it is Marron Shed's dying wish.
